Boojum&Snark is an innovative new regeneration space on Sandown High Street that features a brew pub, taproom, gallery and retail space

The vision of two life-long friends, Julie Jones-Evans and Tracy Mikich, it’s the first entirely craft beer taproom on the Island. During the year there’s a programme of exhibitions and events featuring contemporary portrait photography, hidden meanings and narratives that resonate with the town’s cultural heritage.

“We plan to contribute toward a creative coastal revival by reconnecting to our distinctive past then actively cultivating a sense of pride in our remarkable community, town, Island and the fruits of our labour.” – Julie & Tracy

"Boojum and Snark is unique, it's a bar, an arts hub and a museum. It's a brilliantly quirky idea, well executed, and taps into Sandown"s important cultural and artistic past and present. It's originality would make Lewis Carroll, author of the Hunting of the Snark, proud. The beer, made literally behind the bar, is great too!"

Just the place for a Snark!

Our name is a reference by the Lewis Carroll poem 'The Hunting of The Snark', which he penned while staying in Sandown
