It’s No Ordinary Town

Exhibition at Clayden Gallery, Quay Arts, 8–29 November

We are thrilled to be showing work from this year’s cultural and creative projects at the Clayden Gallery, Quay Arts. It’s open daily, so please come along, and who knows, you may be able to solve the curious case of the seven-foot high-stepping clown sighting.

“This exhibition is a celebration of the unconventional. In a town like Sandown, which is often underestimated, we believe cultural revival is found by breaking new ground” Tracy Mikich, Creative Director of Boojum&Snark

What will you see in the Windowless Hut? Installation by Teresa Grimaldi

IT’S NO ORDINARY TOWN is your invitation to explore the myths, mysteries, and utopian dreams we’ve unearthed over the past year. Where else can you analyse the high-strangeness of a 1970s clown sighting, ponder life as part of a blue-mind hive community, and then pick up a Sandown Tarot deck to predict the town’s future?

With special thanks to everyone involved including our artists, creative practitoners and writers: Tommy Brentnall, Teresa Grimaldi, Anmarie Bowler, Jean G-Owen, Jason Watts, Kate Young, Jane Shepherd, Abigail Ryan, Sue Goodman, Hillard Morley, Sylvia Clare, Cody Pevreall and everyone who took part, created, watched, laughed and joined in the joy.

Please come along, the Quay is open daily 🙂
