Boojum & Snark Brewery and Goddards Brewery have announced that they are relocating Boojum’s brewing operations to Goddards’new brewery at Branstone. This move is a significant step in the two breweries’ ongoing partnership, which has already resulted in the creation of a series of innovative craft beers under the “Brewed in the Bay” label.
“We are thrilled to be expanding our partnership with Goddards Brewery by relocating our brewing operations to their facility,” said Julie Jones-Evans Founder of Boojum Brewery. “This move will allow us to focus on broadening our creative and cultural offering in Sandown while leveraging Goddards’ expertise and resources to continue to produce innovative craft beer at the Branstone site.”
Over the past two years, Boojum and Goddards have cultivated a synergistic relationship, characterised by a shared passion for innovation and a commitment to producing high-quality craft beers. Goddards head brewer Josh Davies and Boojum’s Julie Jones-Evans innovative partnership has led to the development of a series of modern craft beers under the “Brewed in the Bay” label.
“This partnership is a natural progression of our longstanding collaboration with Boojum&Snark,” said Bob Simpson, managing director of Goddards. “Together, we can continue to push the boundaries of innovation and bring the best possible craft beers to the Isle of Wight community.”
The partnership has proven to be mutually beneficial, with both breweries gaining recognition for the new range at the 2023 London Beer Competition as all three beers, RipTide Red Ale, Barista Breakfast Stout and South Island Pale Ale picked up sliver awards.

This collaboration extends beyond business transactions, it’s deeply rooted in a shared commitment to supporting the Isle of Wight community and fostering a vibrant brewery sector. Goddards has also provided valuable work experience and training for Boojum’s apprentice. These acts of support exemplify the spirit of collaboration and shared purpose that underpins this relationship.
About Boojum Brewery: Boojum Brewery is a leading Isle of Wight craft brewery, known for its innovative spirit and commitment to producing high-quality craft beers. With a focus on experimentation and creativity, Boojum working alongside Josh Davies (Goddards) has developed a range of modern craft beers that have garnered recognition and acclaim from beer enthusiasts.
About Goddards Brewery: Goddards Brewery is a long-established brewery with a rich history on the Isle of Wight. Founded in the 1993, Goddards has been a cornerstone of the island’s brewing community, producing traditional and contemporary beers that have become synonymous with the island’s brewing heritage.
UPDATE: Goddards is now owned by Powder Monkey. Powder Monkey continue to brew some Goddards beers and the tap room has a mix of traditional and modern craft beer. The sale to Powder Monkey also marked the end of Boojum’s relationship with the brewery and we made a decision to stop brewing. It was a great five years, and to get award-winning beers, CAMRA recognition and really push the boundaries of modern brewing on the Island (yes we were first Island microbrewery to produce a commercial kettle sour) was a blast. Thank you to everyone who supported us,
